Problem

Prove that a class of VC dimension dd has growth function ΠH(n)≤∑k=0d(nk)≤(en/d)d\Pi_\Hcal(n)\le\sum_{k=0}^d\binom nk \le (en/d)^d for n≥dn\ge d. Use the shifting/induction argument that proves the stronger statement: any set family shatters at least as many sets as it has members.

Write a complete argument. Every inequality you use should be one you could state precisely.
